What that means for a typical move in The Hague

Parking the moving van
Do you want the van on the street or in a parking bay? In many streets you need an exemption or permit from the municipality of Den Haag. Check this early, as the municipality needs time to process it. A parking exemption is not part of our rates; if it applies, it is listed separately in the quote so you can see exactly what you pay for.
How to keep the cost down
- Declutter first. Everything you do not take along saves time, and time is what you pay for.
- Have boxes packed and labelled. Movers who can start carrying straight away finish sooner.
- Choose a weekday. Saturdays and Sundays carry a 25% surcharge.
- Report special items in advance. A piano, safe or artwork needs its own equipment; mentioning it upfront avoids surprises on the day.
What is fixed in your quote
- A quote is valid for 14 days. Once you accept it in writing, the agreed fixed price is binding; only extra work you ask for on the day itself can be charged separately.
- For moves above € 1.500 we may ask for a deposit of up to 30%. The invoice is due within 14 days.
- Cancelling up to 7 days before the moving day is free of charge.
- Transport is covered by an all-risk transport insurance. Report any damage within 24 hours of delivery.
